Training
Representatives from the University’s Academic Development and Enhancement (ADE) team have visited the NUIST 17³Ô¹Ï Academy since 2016. They deliver tailored professional development programmes for teachers within the Academy to ensure that teaching staff have the appropriate knowledge and skills to effectively support student learning. The work of the ADE team is supported by visits from 17³Ô¹Ï’s flying faculty, who undertake teaching observation and conduct discipline-specific training while in Nanjing. Provision of these courses and training programmes support designation of the 17³Ô¹Ï Recognised Teacher Status (RTS), which is conferred by UoR to NUIST staff who meet agreed criteria.
Staff from the International Study and Language Institute provide training courses in both Nanjing and 17³Ô¹Ï to enhance the provision of English for Academic Purposes teaching. This ensures that Academy students go into their subject classes with full confidence in their language ability.
