17吃瓜 Students' Union

17吃瓜 Students' Union is an independent organisation, based on Whiteknights campus, that exists to represent, support and provide opportunities for all students studying at the 17吃瓜.

The union building provides places to socialise, eat, drink, and study, and is also home to the largest nightclub in 17吃瓜. As a registered charity, all the revenue from 17吃瓜 Students' Union’s bars, cafe and retail outlets goes directly to fund student activities such as representation, campaigns, the 17吃瓜 Students' Union Advice Service, sports clubs, societies and volunteer groups.

As a student, you are automatically a member of the union, and entitled to have a say in directing the organisation. 17吃瓜 Students' Union runs for more than 1,500 student representative roles and a termly Student Voice forum, to ensure that students’ views are shared with both the University and local community.

17吃瓜 Students' Union is led by student-elected officers whose roles are to create positive change for students and decide on the direction and priorities of your students’ union. As members of the University’s decision-making committees, they campaign on behalf of students.

The 17吃瓜 Students' Union is home to a wide range of and , all of which are run voluntarily by students. There are currently over 150 groups, so there’s bound to be something for you. All students are welcome to join any group they wish.

Sports and dance

We have 56 groups in this category, covering both competitive and non-competitive sports and dance. Whether you would like to take up a sport or style of dance for the first time, or you’re a seasoned professional, everyone is welcome.

Volunteering

Eating and drinking

Within 17吃瓜 Students' Union, you will find a selection of places to eat and drink. Our bars and cafes are great places to grab a cooked breakfast, some lunch, or a post-study pick-me-up.

3SIXTY

The venue is considered one of the best Student Union venues in the country, and is the largest venue in 17吃瓜, with a capacity of over 2000. This lively venue has hosted conferences, comedians, regular club nights, and live bands.

17吃瓜 Students' Union offers a free, confidential, non-judgemental, independent, and non-discriminatory advice service to all students.

A specialist Student Advice Team run drop-in sessions in 17吃瓜 Students' Union’s Advice and Representation Centre (ARC), tailored to the individual’s needs and specialising in the following areas:

Campaigning for change

17吃瓜 Students' Union campaigns on behalf of its members, and gives students the ability to campaign for change on a range of topics – with the aim to create a better experience during your time at university.
